This truck is comfortable for our family of 5, and it looks great. This truck is more than capable of hauling loads such as a trailer, boat, other vehicles, etc., But when driving it, it does not feel like a work-type of vehicle. Driving this truck feels like driving a nice, high-end vehicle. I love the comforts of this truck- the dash is great, I love my rear-view camera, the radio, GPS, etc. Are all wonderful. This truck offers ample space and there are plenty of compartments for stowing your various odds and ends. The bed offers a lot of space to fit nearly anything you might need to transport. And this truck, simply, is a good looking truck.
Story
We love using our truck to take our boat out to the lake, We enjoy visiting a lot of different lakes in our area, and our truck does an excellent job towing our boat wherever we decide to take it!
Pros
This truck features a large enough cabin that we can comfortably fit our whole family- which includes 2 adults and 3 kids. Despite being large, it is easy to drive. It has excellent pickup- it handles getting on the highway and going up hills great. This truck can go! I love the rear view camera. It offers assurance when I am backing out of my driveway, and gives me confidence to squeeze into those tight parallel parking spaces. Everything inside the truck has a feeling of luxury- it feels like a nice vehicle. I enjoy driving it. This truck shines and it really gorgeous.
Cons
Because of its size, it's difficult to park. Narrow spots might be entirely impossible to pull into. It has a very wide turning radius and you need adequate space to pull into spots. Gas mileage is not great. It's got a big tank, it burns through fuel, so if you drive a lot, you'll be spending a lot of money on fueling it.

2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 - Great all around full size truck.

This has been one of my most favorite trucks I've owned. I've owned a 2008 Silverado as well, but the 2014 blew my mind. The interior, even on the LT, is amazing. Chevy really has put a lot of effort into the trucks interior. The only thing I didn't like was the v4 mode, but the gas mileage made up for that very much so. The truck is very comfortable to drive, and the v8 model has plenty of power for pulling and highway driving. The rear seats fold up and provide plenty of room. There are also plenty of aftermarket parts available for customization. The Bluetooth and audio system is much better than my 08 as well.
Story
One memorable time I remember was when I proposed to my wife. We would always back the truck up to the local airport in the city and watch planes take off during our lunch breaks. Well, one day I decided to bring her out there and I ended up proposing on the tailgate of my truck. It made the perfect place to sit and watch planes and eat lunch, and consequently made the perfect bench by which I... (more)
Pros
The electronic steering, gas mileage, and interior were the top things that I enjoyed with this truck. It gets great gas mileage for a full size gas truck, and the interior is gorgeous. The lane assist as a bit annoying but the leather steering wheel with electronic steering felt great. I didn't have any electrical issue with the truck, and. There's plenty of aftermarket support if you decide to upgrade any part of the truck. I added an aftermarket exhaust that made it sound like a beast. The v4 mode got me around 23 mpg on the highway travelling approximately 75mph. Another thing I liked ... (more)
Cons
The top negative things would have to be the cylinder change and the lack of 4wd. Personally, living down south 4wd isn't necessary but it's something I wish came with more trucks. The v4 mode got my good mpgs but after I added the aftermarket dual exhaust the sound was annoying when it would shift down into four cylinder mode. I also read that it hurts the lifters over time to keep switching back and forth between v8 mode and v4 mode. I also didn't like the visibility factor over the hood. It made it difficult to park, and the turning radius with the 2014 was less than my 2008 Silverado. ... (more)
