I like the vehicle, I do feel that it is a little heavy in turns
I am reviewing the 2009 Chevrolet Suburban LX model. I have to say that I really enjoy driving this vehicle. It feels very safe and heavy and is a good quality family vehicle. The interior trim is rather basic, but it has enough bells and whistles to provide for a fun family road trip. The vehicle performs best when on the open road. The gas mileage is surprising for such a large and heavy vehicle. The only downside to the Suburban is the turn radius. At times it can feel like turning a bus. Overall, we are very satisfied with our purchase of the Suburban, and can definitely see ourselves buying another one someday.

Pile your kids in
What first attracted us to the Suburban was the amount of space. There is an enormous amount of space for a family with dogs, children, likes to travel, and has hobbies. You can pack everything into this car! The back bench does manually need to be taken out, but it doesn't bother us. We can place two car seats in the back seat and a double stroller in the trunk with groceries. That was my goal. To be able to keep my double stroller in the car PLUS any groceries or items from shopping. The exterior of the car looks great, and the interior (with the leather) also is pleasing to the eye. The car just looks nice, not cheap. However, something in the front dashboard area has started to rattle, and it can become frustrating. There is a lot of storage in the front console as well. On the flip side, I did have to already to replace the engine, and we can feel the transmission starting to slip. Other than that, it has run great in short and long distances. We also use the Suburban to tow our bass boat, and it has also done great with that. The Suburban will stand up to kids, animals, snow, snacks, off-roading, you name it.
