I have a dark green 2002 Chevy Tahoe and I love it. It is lifted and has Toyo All Terrain tires. I have had a few problems with it including needing new brakes, wheel hub assembly and cv joints. Overall I am very happy with this Tahoe. It has a v8 engine and I really enjoy being able to get up and go rather than slowly going faster. It is very dependable and perfect for my family so I will never get rid of it. I enjoy riding in it more than any other SUV as it rides smooth like a car.
Story
The most memorable is driving in the snow. It is very dependable and I did not slip and slide like I do in my car. While driving in the snow, I felt very safe.
Pros
One of the pros I enjoy the most about my Tahoe is being able to help family or friends move when needed. I am able to take out all the backseats, which it has two sets that are removable, and fit a lot more than a truck would. It has very nice brand new Toyo All Terrain tires. It also has a roof rack which made it very helpful when carrying snowboards while being able to have all my friends inside. The heated leather seats are great during the winter and even having leather seats in summer is perfect as well since it doesn't get too hot here. I love that it has an auxiliary plug in it as ... Cons
The first thing I noticed when I got the Tahoe was there was an issue with the wiring for the stereo lights. Another con is the door lock, I cannot lock the passenger door unless I do it manually. It also takes more oil than my car therefore making the maintenance a little more expensive.

2002 Chevrolet Tahoe - The 2002 Chevy Tahoe is affordable, spacious, and performs decently.

The 2002 Chevy Tahoe is the perfect vehicle for someone on a budget. While other SUVs may perform better, the Chevy Tahoe provides a lot of space and size for your family without much of a performance hit. It's also cheap to repair and maintain, unlike newer SUVs. The Chevy Tahoe is a common brand of police vehicle. Given this, there's numerous ones going up for sale after being decommissioned. These decommissioned ones are guaranteed to be well maintained and in quite good condition. Additionally, given the amount produced and the reliance on them by the police, there's tons out there. Therefore, they are not expensive at all. An average 2002 Chevy Tahoe sells for less than $9,000. Not to mention the massive amount of space you can use for storage. If you have a large family or a smal... (more)
Story
Given its size, I accidentally flipped it going around a sharp corner. My kids were fortunately okay, they were so young at the time that they found it fun. They felt like they were on a roller coaster.
Pros
Spacious, affordable, easy to maintain, and performs well enough.
Cons
It's large and the gas mileage isn't great compared to newer vehicle, but it still isn't bad.
