I have had my Tahoe for almost ten years and (knock on wood) I haven't had any major mechanical problems with it. It has been reliable and has never broken down. The car has had an electrical problem since I bought it, and no one (including the Chevy dealer) has been able to fix it. It doesn't affect the way the car drives, but it means that I always have at least a couple of lights out. The interior has held up well over time despite having dirt, makeup, coffee, and you-name-it spilled on it. The front seats are large and roomy, but the back two rows are very uncomfortable. Since I have always had long commutes to work and school, I love that this car is huge and has a ton of space for me to keep extra clothes, makeup, overnight bags, etc. The paint and exterior plastic has not he... Story
I used this car to camp at Coachella a few years ago. We couldn't afford to get a hotel room, and none of my friends had camping gear, so we rented a camp spot and then parked my car in it instead of pitching a tent. After removing the third row seats and folding down the second row, three of us slept relatively comfortably for three nights.
Pros
1. Reliable 2. Spacious 3. Suspension (I like the feel of a truck suspension)
Cons
1. Gas 2. Electrical issues 3. Brakes

I've had my Tahoe for going on 3 years now. I bought it used and was a bit skeptical about how well it would do with it being an older model. It turned out to be a great investment! The Tahoe is very comfortable to both drive and ride in. I've taken it on several road trips that have all gone smoothly.
Story
My family and I like to visit the drive-in theater. We fold the back seats down, raise the hatch, and make pallets in the back. We've had lots of fun just hanging out of the back of my Tahoe and watching movies together.
Pros
I was immediately impressed with the design of the exterior of the car, but the leather interior is what sold me. The seats come with built in warmers, which is wonderful on cold mornings. I have a good stereo system, cruise control, backseat A/C and heater and radio controls, a CD player, and an auxiliary port. The Tahoe is very spacious. I have lots of nieces and nephews that like to tag along with me where ever I go, so it was important to me that I had plenty of room to accommodate them. On the other hand, when I need extra space, the second and third row seats fold down easily.
Cons
The gas mileage isn't ideal, but considering the size and age of the car, it's not too bad. I have had a few mechanical issues, but they were all minor and a quick trip to the shop did the trick.
