The Chevrolet Tahoe is a great full-size SUV. My Tahoe has over 100,000 miles on it and has needed just the routine maintenance. I love the room for passengers and luggage. It makes for a good road trip car. The electronics are good for the time it was made, but there have been advances in technology now. It is great towing trailers or boats with the reverse camera to see to hook up. Gas mileage is not great, and it is a big SUV to maneuver around small/tight parking lots/streets. It has adequate get up and go, but it won't be beating any exotics anytime soon.
Story
I've used my Tahoe on multiple road trips, going all over the state and to Canada. It is a great road trip vehicle. Easily fits four people and luggage/gear/food for ten days when we were going fishing in remote Canada. It was a 24-hour drive straight through, only stopping to eat.
Pros
The driver/passenger room and the space to haul things around -- be it people or luggage or a mix of the two. I'm a big guy, 6' about 240 lbs., and the Tahoe is comfortable to drive every day. The build quality and reliability of the SUV have been outstanding. There have been no major issues -- just routine maintenance.
Cons
The gas mileage leaves a lot to be desired. I get about 16-18 in highway driving and 12-15 city/stop and go driving. But that was expected and known when I purchased the Tahoe. It is a big car and will take some time getting used to if you are coming from a sedan. Chevrolet has taken that into consideration by including a parking assist sensors to let you know when you're close to a wall/parked car and folding side view mirrors and reverse camera. The Tahoe also may not fit in all garages. It is a very tight fit in mine.

I feel very safe in this vehicle, and am comfortable using it with my whole family. The leather seats inside the car are very high quality. I have a toddler and a newborn and after owning the car for a year, installing and removing car seats, food stains and drink spills, it is easy to clean and shows no scratches. The 4 wheel drive works wonderfully in the snow and ice. You simply turn a knob to either 2 wheel, 4 wheel, or Auto. I like the automatic 2 to 4 wheel drive because it will switch back and forth as needed.
Story
In Colorado, we love loading the kids up and driving to the mountains! We used this car for a camping trip, and when it rained there was enough space to lay out a blanket in the back and watch a movie on the ipad.
Pros
The Tahoe is very spacious, too. Even if I add in one seat in the back, there is still plenty of room next to the seat for a double stroller, diaper bag, and much more. Both the front and middle seats are very spacious, plenty of room for an adult to ride between the two car seats. The exterior paint (ours is silver) has lasted too. A couple of scratches have happened, but the color and shine hide them well. It's also easy to clean.
Cons
The only con I have in regards to this car would be the leg room for the 3rd row. In the front and middle seats, the floor goes down so there is plenty of space. However, in the back 3rd row the floor isn't any lower so your feet stick straight out and there isn't a lot of room then.
