This truck has met every expectation I have thrown at it. When you first look at the truck, it has a big and rugged design but it is not overwhelming or bulky. The truck sits on nice big 18" alloy wheels and has an incredible suspension to where you think you are gliding over the road. The interior is all leather trim and has premium electronic gauges that truly give a luxury feel. The seat is heated and is all electric motion controls. The radio and accompanying sound system are enough to make everyones head turn when driving down the street. The size of the truck would make you think that being inside of it is like driving a boat but the drive is actually quite nice for folks that are not on the bigger side. There is plenty of room but you do not feel like you are reaching and stretc... (more)
Story
Every year me and some cousins go on a camping trip and I always had a car. The first year we took my truck, we were able to load everything in the truck and have everyone come in one car for the most memorable 3 day road trip ever. We usually take 2 or 3 cars. That year it was one and we were able to stop off at so many sights together as a team and enjoy it all as family instead of whenever ... (more)
Pros
Comfort Dependability Luxury at nonluxury prices The heated seats and sunroof are my favorite features of the truck
Cons
At first, learning to adjust to the size is the only issue.

The Chevy Tahoe gets my top vote hands down for best sport utility vehicle. As a mom with two kids, I felt extra safe when driving. It felt like it was built to last and could withstand impact should we ever encounter a collision. We had the full package, with leather heated seats and an entertainment package. This is the ultimate family vehicle that makes you feel like someone important when other people see you in it. It had 4 wheel drive and handled excellent in the snowy foothills of North Carolina. The remote start function was one of my favorite features during hot and cold weather. The Tahoe had plenty of room to haul luggage for vacations. It was so spacious, I was able to fit a huge amount of food and supplies for a local fire department fundraising event. I even used it aroun... (more)
Story
Being the wife of a fire chief and member of our local fire department myself, we installed first responder lights and a dash light in my Tahoe. Since the Tahoe was also silver, I was constantly getting mistaken for being an unmarked State Trooper. It was always funny driving on the interstate around truck drivers because they would slow down and drive very cautiously.
Pros
4wd handled well in the snow and even in mud. Spacious, plenty of room. Enjoyed how it made me feel to drive it. Felt like it was built to last, made better than most vehicles on the road today. Loved the sound of the V8!
Cons
Heavy seats that were hard to remove when needing extra cargo space in the rear. Poor gas mileage (because mine had a V8).
